Graceland Estate; Full Review, Service Charge & Security

Graceland Estate is a well-structured estate and a serene ambiance. Located in Ajah along the Lekki-Epe expressway, it’s about 35 minutes – 1 hour 40 minutes drive with heavy traffic from the well-known Ikoyi. But only about 30 minutes drive during the off-peak rush period. And about a 7-minute drive after the Ajah Jubilee flyover bridge, immediately after De’dem restaurant Ajah, Lagos state.

SECURITY STATUS

For an Estate where service charge is not taxed, they have done a pretty great job maintaining the estate, leveraging on the resident’s cooperation. The security status of the Greenland estate is rather impressive. A non-resident is denied entry into the estate in cases where their host does not acknowledge their presence or inform the security unit beforehand. Nonresidents are only allowed entrance into the estate when the resident/host places a call to the security checkpoint.

Residents are known with their identification cards before access is granted to them.

SERVICE CHARGE & ELECTRICITY

As mentioned above Graceland Estate is not a service-charged estate. Electricity is provided by EKDC and by individuals who make use of generators, inverters, and solar.

ROADS, DRAINAGE & WASTE MANAGEMENT

Roads in Graceland estate are not all interlocked, they are quite narrow and have drainage channels on only one side. The estate also has an exit gate that leads to Abraham Adesanya road which makes it easy for residents heading towards Ogombo & its environs. No cases of flood have been recorded within the estate so far.

The Estate is generally clean, waste management is handled by a private firm contracted by the estate residents association.

NEIGHBOURHOOD & RESTAURANTS

Graceland Estate is actually filled with amazing landmarks that are at a trekkable distance from the estate gate. With the likes of Dee-Dems Restaurant & Kilimanjaro for those that might be interested in getting great meals within a trekkable distance.

With its close proximity to beaches such as Country Beach, Baracuda, Atican, to mention a few, Graceland estate is a place to live.

There are also some pretty interesting schools in the neighborhood, which include; Greater Scholars International School, Annunciation Kids School, Aishah Bnt Abiibakr School of Arabic & Islamic Studies, and also the Lagos Business School, which is about 5 minutes drive from the estate gate.

And within a 10mintues drive from the estate gate, you will find yourself at the Novare Shopping Mall (Shoprite) where you can easily get your groceries restocked with ease, and probably have fun too, perhaps, see a movie on a weekend. Mini-marts, Fuel stations, Hospitals, Churches, and Mosques are also in close range.
